Recipe for the perfect perogy

Suerkraut filling: 1 can of suerkraut; 1 small head of green cabbage shredded; Rinse sauerkraut thoroughly then in a pot cover with water, bring to boil and simmer for 15 minutes; similarily in a separate pot cover the shredded cabbage with water, bring to boil and simmer likewise 15 minutes; drain both then combine in a roaster in the oven at 375 for about 1/2 hr. Note: you can fry up some bacon onion and even some cubes of finely dice ham and add that to the cabbage mixture before putting into the oven.( salt and pepper to tast of course! - pepper is good!!
